The colours of the city of Venice have always been an endless source of inspiration for artists from all over the world.
Cromie, the elaboration of the Venezia collection of Opificio Ceramico wants to be a homage to the beauty of this unique world city. We have drawn inspiration from its iconic bas reliefs and the tones of the Lagoon to create a new collection that uses just a few characteristics of the previous collection but remains independent of it.
In Venezia Cromie, we find the smooth surfaces of the “Lido” version and the structured surfaces of the bas-reliefs of the “Calle”, “Fondaco” and “Rialto” versions. There are 12 colours, which all draw their inspiration from the city. An azur range that draws its inspiration of the sky and sea, greens that are reminiscent of the hues of the Lagoon, the variety of white and powder pink that are reminiscent of the stucco of the noble palaces, the grey tones that are typical of the “masegni” blocks that characterize the city’s paths and piazzas
