BEAT originates from an exploration of the passage of time and the rhythmic patterns of things produced by humans and nature: from the furrows of a sown field to building façades, the rippling of water or footprints in the snow.

In surfaces made with Beat, one can fully perceive both the human intervention and the response of the natural element to the craftsman’s attempt to control it.
THE CERAMIC MIXTURE IN NEOCLAY IS A LIVING MATERIAL: IT MOVES DURING ENGRAVING, DRYING, AND THROUGH THE FIRING PROCESS, WHICH CRYSTALLIZES IT AT ITS HIGHEST LEVEL OF EXPRESSIVENESS, CARRYING UNIQUE AND UNREPEATABLE MICRO-IMPERFECTIONS.
Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri work across different fields of design: industrial product design, interior design, and creative direction. “With Beat we wanted to tell the story of the passage of time, the traces left by humans on nature, the value of matter and craftsmanship. We sought to express it through a subtle, almost chiseled pattern, whose imprint remains impressed in the raw clay.”
