Marco Spatti graduated in 2007 from the Institute of Applied Art and Design in Turin, Italy, obtaining his Master’s degree in Product Design. Since then, he has traveled and worked for design studios, with a primary focus on furniture and lighting design, including the renowned Mario Bellini.
In 2015, Marco opened his own studio, where he has been dedicated to developing smart and sustainable projects through meticulous research and experimentation. His design approach is characterized by tireless investigation and reflection, fostering a certain and inevitable degree of innovation.

The collection designed by Marco Spatti for Opificio Ceramico™ is Repetit. The name comes from the union of the Latin repetita (to repeat) and the French petit (small), highlighting the essence of a project that makes the repetition of the smallest element its stylistic signature.

CONTINUOUS CERAMIC SURFACES

“The inspiration behind Repetit comes from the world of textiles. I was intrigued by the idea of recreating on a surface the visual and tactile experience of a coarse-knit fabric. In this way, ceramic and grout became the warp and weft with which to weave these new surfaces.”
